What people have said about John's books
'The thesis seems highly plausible and the material bearing on it is deployed by Dr. Hostettler with considerable style if not panache ... I found the book a fascinating read; a convincing and coherent account of the area and one on which the author is to be warmly congratulated.'
A. T. H. Smith. Criminal Law Review
'John Hostettler has produced a well-written, erudite biography of a legal and political giant... This work deserves its place in the continuing evaluation of Carson. It is a well researched account of the amazing career of a man whom even his political opponents had the grace to respect and admire.'
